I booked the Resort from Krabi and had no idea what I was in for. I was coming to the end of 6 months travelling and was wanting R&R. At 33, I don't want to stay in a backpackers where its a non stop party, but I also like to have a drink, a boogie and a hammock to recover in. I got it all here, plus more.

This is not a resort you come to if you want to be in the thick of it. It's secluded, off the beaten track, and transport is tricky if you're not into the bikes (which I had a fear of, but thankfully Rob, the Manager, cured my fear!). Yet it has the most beautiful people, lack of idiotic tourists, majestic sunsets and divine food, I was experiencing bliss! The staff at Haad Tian naturally become your family - your home away from home. From the girls playing their cards at night, to Ting Tong Bame having a laugh with you, Chang & Eet going nuts in the ute with their beats, and Daeng, always ready to wow you with her culinary prowess (thanks Daeng for all my tasty Tom Yam Goong!), I did not want to leave! Infact, I left to go to Perenthian Islands in Malaysia - I lasted 6 days and went straight back to Haad Tian!

Yes the beach isn't so great here, but the pool makes up for that (as do the sunsets you can watch while sipping on a Singha in said pool!). You can get around to Bottle Beach easily enough on a day trip. You can walk over the hill to the village with an array of restaurants, bars and a great beach. Get a bike or the ute up to Chaloklum. The Resort has a relationship with reputable diving academies who will transport you door to door. You have an array of choice for villas, or the humble beach front bungalow (my room of choice) that are all clean and tidy, and if you don't like something - speak to the staff, they will do what they can to ensure you enjoy your stay.

AND.....for all my saying I would never do a Full Moon Party.....my new Thai family and fellow like minded travellers staying at the resort did a group excursion together, and thanks to...

My family and I stayed here for 5 days at the beginning of September, we had a great time, from meeting Chang at the pier (he even had a board with our name on it) to leaving, it was total bliss, the place is remote, but Haad Yao with all the bars and restaurants is only a 5 minute walk away. And we felt totally safe to let the children wander around the resort, most of time they where playing with the staff or in the pool. the food is some of the best we have had in Thailand, even the western food beats some of the food in the UK. Thanks to Deang, Elzanne, Chang and all the staff for making our stay so memorable, see you next year, we will be back for sure.

My daughter and I stayed for almost a week at Haad Tian and we enjoyed it very much. It's a beautiful quiet place, and right next door to lively Haad Yao. The staff are very friendly and helpful and Robert is a great host. Our rooms were great and well priced and I loved reading in my hammock looking out over the bay. My daughter especially loved the pool. The food is excellent. I especially loved the sunsets over the water. I really hope to get back to Haad Tian for another stay in the future.

We stayed at Haad Tien for one week at the end of a three week trip to Thailand. It was by far our favorite place we stayed during our trip. Beautiful quiet location close to everything including fantastic snorkeling. The most private resort on the island that has road access.

The staff are very helpful and friendly and the service and food were first rate. We would not hesitate to reccomend Haad Tian. Really a very good value, and if it is in your budget the higher end bungalows are simply beautiful.

We hope to see Haad Tien and all the staff again soon!

We stayed here for 5 nights over New Years, and the place was absolutely perfect. The restaurant was awesome, some of the best food we had during our entire trip in Thailand. Everyone who works there was great and so friendly. We are both still smiling from the time we spent there. If we ever make it back to Phangan, we would love to stay here again!

  Daeng?! Daeng?! Daeng?! DAENG?!
If you've heard that noise, it was my daughter and I excuse us disturbing the fantastic silence and harmonie at this wonderful resort.
My daughter (23 month) has fallen in love with this friendly Thai family letting us being their guests (Daeng especially) that it was hard for us leaving them for the next year. I can also agree with others in this guestbook saying the team is doing anything to help you and its not hard to reach the outside... 100THB taxi to Tongsala is fair enought.

Hope to CU next year and THX Alan, Daeng+Family and last but not least Rob :)

Much love,

Marc (Munich)

This place is a little paradise, it was a great place to just sit back and chill for a few days. The staff are so friendly. I was very sad to leave. I have put good for location as yes it is in the North West of the Island, but the staff are extremely helpful with organising taxis and motorbikes etc, which makes the location less of an issue. I would recommend to anyone.

I love this place, it is a little paradise. Bungalow was great, nice pool and the people are really friendly! And they let me watch the football. If you are looking to have a few days rest and relaxation on a beautiful private beach, look no further.
